  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped basil
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper optional
  • 1 jar 24 ounces tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F.

  3. Shape the mixture into small balls, roughly 1.5 inches in size.
  4. Arrange the turkey bites on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and lightly brush the olive oil over the tops.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until fully cooked and golden.
  6. While the meatballs bake, warm the tomato sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.

  8. Serve hot, optionally sprinkling with extra basil or Parmesan.
