Ingredients
  

  • 2 14.5-ounce cans of green beans, drained
  • 1 10.5-ounce can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 teaspoon of soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups of French fried onions divided
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the drained green beans, cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  3. Gently fold in 1 cup of the French fried onions and the shredded cheddar cheese, if using.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 2-quart baking dish and spread it evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of French fried onions on top.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
